About Dr. Bussman

Dr. Julie Bussman is a licensed clinical psychologist who enjoys working with adults, children, and families. She has a wealth of experience working in different settings including outpatient clinics, inpatient psychiatric hospitals, college counseling centers, elementary schools, private practice, drug treatment centers, Indian reservations, and in rural locations in Arizona and California. She has led group therapy focused on court-ordered domestic violence treatment, drug and alcohol relapse prevention, and chronic pain.

She enjoys providing individual, group, and family therapy services. Dr. Bussman also provides psychological evaluations for a variety of purposes. She is contracted to conduct Disability Benefits Exams to men and women in the military. She is licensed by the Minnesota Board of Psychology as well as the California Board of Psychology. She is a full member of the Minnesota Psychological Association and the American Psychological Association. Dr. Bussman has taught graduate school courses for the University of Phoenix. Courses focused on legal and ethical concerns pertaining to psychological practice.

Dr. Bussman has been licensed since 2008 after receiving her doctorate in Clinical Psychology at California School of Professional Psychology, located in San Diego, CA. She earned a Master's degree in Psychology from Loyola University of Chicago in 2002 and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Luther College in Decorah, IA in 1999.

Dr. Bussman was born and raised in Rochester, MN and is returning to this area after having lived in the Southwest for many years. She has a large extended family in and around MN and is happy to be back home.
